ADJUSTABLE PEDESTAL TYPES
JUNIOR
The Junior pedestal, with self-levelling base, is the only raised floor installation support which does not require extensions or incline compensators.
JUNIOR PEDESTAL CHARACTERISTICS
- Height-adjustable: extension range from 15/32 “ to 1” 11/64
- Slope compensation: the self-levelling Junior base helps to avoid the use of extensions or incline compensators, correcting differences in level up to 1.5%.
- Flexible rubber tabs: ideal for cushioning the impact of pavers during installation
- Bi-component head of 6” ¼ with highly heat-resistant, anti-noise, anti-slip rubber.
Larger in diameter than other standard bi-component heads on the market. - Exclusive elastane-enriched PP. The pedestal withstands both variations in the weather and stresses due to use and continuous loads, coming with a 5-year warranty against manufacturing defects
- Junior pedestals are made from recycled propylene and can be reused an endless number of times

QUEEN
Queen is the reliable, practical, durable raised paving pedestal with adjustable height and fixed head.
Queen offers considerable added value in renovation and in all projects which require low working heights. In fact, Queen’s height range is from just 13/16 ” to 1” 23/32, with no extension required.
- Queen with fixed head: available in 5 sizes and height-adjustable – from 13/16 ” mm up to 1” 23/32 with no extension
- 3 pre-cut polypropylene tabs with thickness of 3/32 “ , 1/8 “ and 5/32 “, always on the head

QUEEN JOIST
Queen Joist is an exclusive Kronos USA pedestal which enables raised installation with aluminum pedestals and joists.
The special head designed to support the aluminum joist ensures outstanding results in terms of safety, rapid installation and paving surface stability.
The aluminum joists fit naturally into the heads of the pedestals, where they are secured easily and firmly.
- 4-way pedestal head which allows the joist to be inserted horizontally or vertically, thus also enabling the creation of cross-linked substructures (recommended whenever a reinforced paving is required)
- Bi-component head made of highly heat-resistant soundproof, anti-slip rubber
- Lighter, corrosion-resistant aluminium joist
- Definitely more stable than standard pedestals, it enables greater decking height with no need for perimeter containment
- It permits raised installation even of narrow plank sizes or multi-size layouts without increasing the number of pedestals and thus installation times and costs
- Queen Joist pedestals are made from recycled propylene and can be reused an endless number of times

QUEEN PLUS
This is an additional red component which converts the Queen and Queen Joist pedestals from fixed to self-levelling type, with tilting head.
It compensates for substrate inclines of up to 5%.
QUEEN TOWER
Use of the QTS (1” 13/32) or QTL (4” 7/8 ) extension allows all heights required to be reached in addition to the chosen pedestal.
Use of Queen Tower enables greater flexibility for faster, safer installation and also overcomes various common problems which may arise on-site due to measurements not foreseen in the design phase.
NO WIND
Kronos USA has performed various studies and tests to analyse the effects of wind on raised pavings in the wind tunnel of the FIU International Hurricane Research Center in Florida.
No Wind is combined with the Queen Joist pedestal and Area + joist system.
This accessory produces a safe paving, mechanically secured by a clip to the substructure, which is in turn mechanically connected to the pedestal.
KLIP
Klips improve the paving’s resistance and safety. Their specific combination effectively retains the tiles in the paving, preventing them or vertical filler or step tiles from slipping.
KLIP UP&DOWN
Klip Up and Down are a pair of com-plementary clasps in AISI 304 stainless steel, ideal for creating alignments or steps in raised paving.
KLIP WALL
To cover every positioning detail of raised paving near walls and railings, Klip Wall facilitates workers by creating an appropriate distance of 3/8″ on the row of tiles at the wall edge compared to the side wall.
SKUDO
SKUDO is a TPE rubber separator connected underneath the base of the pedestal to create a protective layer between it and the waterproof substrate membrane.
This protects the membrane from wear due to tiny shifts in the paving and also eliminates foot traffic noise.
SPACER FOR SAND, GRASS OR GRAVEL
Spacer DM
Ideal for laying ceramic pavers on pebble, sand, stabilized and gravel surfaces, to properly space and hold the flooring elements in place.
ACCESSORIES FOR ENHANCED SAFETY
If the raised paving is has a rise of over ¾ “ or is intended for heavy loads or commercial purposes, the application of additional safety systems is highly recommended to reduce the risk of injury if pavers fail.
SHOCK CONTROL 2.0
SHOCK CONTROL® is a protective membrane for pavers.
It is applied to the back of the paver to increase the mechanical strength of the finished paving.
Its structure prevents slabs from collapsing to minimise all risks to people’s safety.
METAL TRAY
Metal Tray is a galvanised sheet steel tray with downturned edges on all four sizes.
Metal Tray is able to support the full weight of a person, even if they jump on a broken tile; no bending or sagging of the edge of the steel tray has been observed in tests which simulate this occurrence.
